Viet Nam, IAEA deepen cooperation
Berlin (VNA) - Viet Nam has signed an Additional Protocol (AP) on nuclear energy cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).Vietnamese Ambassador to Austria Nguyen Truong Giang on behalf of the Vietnamese Government and IAEA Deputy Director General Werner Burkart inked the document in Vienna , Austria .
The Vietnamese Ambassador said he was optimistic at cooperation prospects between Viet Nam and the world's nuclear energy watchdog and reiterated the Vietnamese Government's commitment to using nuclear power for peaceful purpose.
The IAEA representative affirmed that his agency will assist Viet Nam with consultancy services and the training of legal experts and technicians in the nuclear energy sector.-Enditem
